About Us

Built around a single mechanism. Focused on outcomes that matter.
Valion Bio is a clinical-stage immunotherapeutics company with one question at the center of its work: what becomes possible when we activate the body’s oldest and most powerful defense system — the innate immune system — at the right moment, in the right tissues, with precision.
Our Focus
Innate immunity is the body’s front line. It is the system that recognizes threats within minutes, mobilizes before the adaptive immune system engages, and protects the tissues that matter most when cells are under stress — bone marrow, the gastrointestinal tract, epithelial barriers.
For decades, therapeutic innovation has focused on the adaptive immune system — antibodies, T-cell therapies, checkpoint inhibitors. The innate side has been structurally underserved. Valion Bio exists to change that.
Our lead asset, Entolimod, is a clinical-stage Toll-like Receptor 5 agonist. One molecule, one well-characterized mechanism, being investigated across indications where innate immune activation may support cellular response to injury and tissue recovery.
Our Approach
We concentrate on indications where the biology is clear, the clinical need is urgent, and the regulatory path is defined. That discipline has produced a development program in Acute Radiation Syndrome, a near-term investigational opportunity in oncology supportive care, and early-stage work across immuno-oncology — all from a single asset.
We build for independence. Velocity Bioworks, our wholly owned manufacturing subsidiary in San Antonio, secures domestic supply and generates its own commercial revenue — a strategic asset that most clinical-stage biotech companies cannot replicate.
We work with the agencies, partners, and clinicians who stand closest to the problems we aim to solve: BARDA, NIAID, DTRA, the Department of War, and institutional oncology centers. These relationships are not accessories to our strategy. They are the strategy.
Our Values
Scientific rigor.
Every claim we make is grounded in published data, regulatory precedent, or direct engagement with the agencies that will evaluate our work.
Capital discipline.
We concentrate resources on indications that inflect value. We pursue non-dilutive funding wherever the mechanism and the mission align. We prioritize the shareholder’s long-term position over short-term optics.
National resilience.
Medical countermeasures and domestic biomanufacturing are not ordinary commercial categories. They are strategic. We build with that responsibility in mind.
